Let Your Light Shine

I have lived in this world for quite a while now and I can attest that we have an energy and power that projects of who we are from inside. We are in a way, the greatest way we can lead people to happiness and good deeds despite of our religious believes.

Our lives can influence that of others as well as ours when we choose to act rightly and follow instructions. Some people are simply blessed because they are associated with us. On the other side, we get favors and live well because we touched someone in one way or another and they mention our names in their  closet prayers or in our every day discussion with friends and family.

Through the study of Job in the Bible as of Chapter 42, we acknowledge that God has strength and through Him, we can do all things through him- Just as in Philippians 4: 13 where we are able to do exploits through Christ. All the things that we have achieved in life and the challenges we have overcome, there was someone within us that helped us fight and win.

We are definitely humans and sometimes we speak of things that we do not know and understand. We lack wisdom to differentiate between good and bad, right and wrong. James 1:5 says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of the Lord who gives generously without finding fault and he will give it to us. The same wisdom will help us see God through another angle of life, more personally and not through the eyes of our religious leaders. We get a more superior experience than just hearing Him but having a fellowship with Him like a friend.

As Job prayed for Eliphaz, God accepted his prayers and forgave him. Let this be a lesson to us that we allow ourselves to be used by God in place of our society. That instead of seeing the peck in people’s eyes (Matthew 7:3), we shall be empathetic and examine ourselves first and rebuke our friends and family with love as instructed in 1 Timothy 1:3-11. That despite of our different religious believes and doctrines, we shall be tolerant with one another and instead of forcing our religious believes down the throats of others, we will draw them to us with good deeds and love and eventually they will start wanting to be like us, then we can lead them to God and  belithey will believe.

As long as we do right, God will restore what has been lost in our lives, be it jobs, children, relationships, love, money, properties, education in double portions just like he did to Job. We must be willing to give to God our time, resources and our all- a total surrender and he will reward us, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).

 

There is also the power of writing down our dreams and aspirations. These are the silent prayers we make from our hearts and minds to the paper into the heart of God. In Habakkuk 2:2, we are instructed to write our revelations and make them plain on tables. This comes by spending time with God and listening to Him so that He may give us directions in life so that even as we pray, we align with His will. It also includes feeding and getting filled with the word so that even as we write our dreams in life, we have a manual. We cannot pour from an empty cup.

 

However hard life seems to be, remember that we only live once and we should not live complaining but remember that this life under the sun is just but vanity and it is like chasing the wind- soon we shall be gone(Ecclesiastics 1:14). That we should not worry about anything but through prayer and supplications, we should always let our needs be known to God(Philippians 4:6). Even when we are between a rock and a hard surface, we shall walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 2:7).Knowing this will help us enjoy every moment and let the shine that is within us illuminate the world and let the world see the light through our deeds and glorify God- Matthew 5:16
